Loving Earth's chef supreme, Omid Jaffari is also a photographer, food stylist and recreational philosopher with a boundless enthusiasm for all things tasty, organic, real and raw!
Working freelance in the aforementioned fields, Omid has travelled and lived all over the world. Leaving his native Iran at the tender age of 7, he went on to live in such wonderfully diverse nations as the UK, Argentina and Japan before finally ending up in Melbourne in early 2009. Omid is the founder of the Botanical Cuisine Academy, which involves everything from classes and courses to Nettle, his organic pop-up restaurant. The Botanical Cuisine mission is to venerate the organic, seasonal, simple and fresh by focussing on all things artistic and heirloom.
For almost a year now Omid has been working for as Loving Earth’s chef, crafting his sumptuous creations twice a week and constantly surprising staff and customers alike with an imaginatively unique approach to all things sweet and tasty. As if that wasn’t enough, Omid ensures that he's always busy by volunteer fundraising for an orphanage with the TTS Bali Project, in addition to writing health-related articles about the art of raw food and healthy living for TTS (Tried.Tasted.Served) and Shiitake, his own personal blog. 2012 will see Omid explore new territory in a series of exclusive videos for Loving Earth's website...an exciting endeavour!
